This one hour intimate look into the journey of mental health recovery, through the eyes of Vail Place members, will leave you with a better understanding of what goes into the work we do and why we have continued to do it for more than 33 years. Join us for a Day in the Life of a Vail Place Member and take just one hour out of your day to learn more about mental health recovery at Vail Place.
The Day in the Life hours are open to all community members and provide a personal look at how our recovery-oriented services transform lives every day and fill a critical community need.
“It was very good to hear what members at Vail Place think and feel. What they shared was so emotional. This is a wonderful place when you see it through their eyes. It is so important for people to feel like they have a place to come and that they belong here.” – Carol C.
“The hour was fantastic! It was great to have the variety of people there – board members, staff, and members. The hour was very well run and we got done on time.” – Mark T.
“For me, the highlight of the hour was observing a woman who came in looking for services for her son who suffers from SPMI and isolation. It was very obvious how much stress she has gone through and immediately she began to show signs of relief and hope that this could be an option.” – Jason B.
