Vail Place is a Community Support Program (CSP) and provider of Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) and Rule 79 Case Management Services. Services are designed to help adults with serious and persistent mental illness to:
- avoid homelessness
- move into independent living situations
- obtain meaningful employment
- return to school or college
- gain and maintain greater independence, and
- become integrated and active in their community
Vail Place program philosophy is rooted in psychosocial rehabilitation principles and standards. These methods are designed to assist people with serious and persistent mental illness to manage their illness and receive the opportunities and support necessary to live in the community. The goal is to provide opportunities to develop skills, confidence and relationships, with a focus on participation, ownership and self-sufficiency.
At Vail Place, participants are referred to as members, not clients.
There is no direct cost to members for services. ARMHS and Case Management services are funded through medical assistance.
