2018 Annual Report Now Available

This past month we mailed our 2018 Annual Report to members, staff, partners and donors. Vail Place has had so much to celebrate over this past year because of the generosity of our supporters. Our 2018 Annual Report tells a rich story of accomplishments, like the growth of our Case Management Program, the success of members like Fatuma, and how Vail Place ensures “there is always a bright light” for people living with mental illness.
Members like Margaret Humphrey are a huge reason why Vail Place exists today.  Margaret’s story of how Vail Place has changed her life is an amazing one. She is a member at our Uptown Clubhouse and a member of our Board of Directors; you can see her in the tie-dyed shirt having a laugh with me at Tour de Vail last summer.

Here’s Margaret’s perspective on how donors and volunteers impact her life:
“Vail Place wouldn’t be possible without our donors and volunteers. When I was in treatment, I wasn’t working anymore, so I didn’t have a place to go, a community, or work friends. It was easy for me to isolate myself. Afterwards, I was referred to Vail Place where I found the resources I needed to recover and a community of kind, caring, and empathetic people. I haven’t been hospitalized since being referred here. If I wasn’t here, I know I’d be in a never- ending cycle of hospitalization. The donors and volunteers keep Vail Place going so Vail Place can keep me going.”

We would like to offer you an opportunity to help all those we serve “keep going” in a way that is convenient and beneficial through monthly giving.
How monthly giving benefits you…
  • No Hassle: by credit, debit, or checking account, processed by us.
  • Budget Friendly: smaller, monthly gifts are easier on the wallet than large, annual gifts for the same total amount.
  • High Impact:
    • Support for Clubhouse services equates to a $14 return on investment for every dollar donated.
    • Support for our Case Management services brings an 84% reduction in unnecessary member hospitalization- just ask Margaret!
  • A Great Feeling: helping those we serve, fighting the stigma of mental illness, and creating a legacy with your giving.
We hope you will consider becoming a monthly giver, which also provides a steady income that allows Vail Place to better plan ahead and use its resources more efficiently to deliver vital services that people like Margaret depend on. Learn more about becoming a monthly giver here, or give us a call anytime to set it up.
Thank you for being part of the “community of kind, caring, and empathetic people” that make life better every day for Margaret and for all the people we serve! Your support really can change lives.
