21 Nov Housing
All housing services are directed toward safe, affordable independent living in the community. Services are offered both at Vail Place and at the individual’s home, and all services are coordinated with community agencies and relevant individuals.
Vail Place does not “place” individuals in housing. Instead, we provide individuals with the resources and the support to find housing that suits their needs. Staff work with individuals to develop an individualized goal plan. The plan addresses areas of skill building and support systems required to succeed in independent community living.
Once in independent housing, individuals are strongly encouraged to meet with staff at least once per month in their home. Vail Place believes that regular in home visits are essential to providing effective housing services.
