Brushes With Life: Art, Artists and Mental Illness on February 4th

On Thursday, February 4 at 6:00 PM the Basilica Mental Health Film Festival will screen its featured documentary Brushes With Life: Art, Artists and Mental Illness. Following the film, filmmakers and mental health experts will hold a discussion.

The film’s director, Philip Brubaker, and producer, Deirdre Haj, will lead the discussion, along with representatives from Vail PlaceInteractNAMI Minnesota and the Basilica’s Mental Health Ministry.

The film festival is in its fourth year. This year’s theme is “Mental Illness and the Arts.” We’re honored to take part. The festival is free and open to the public – we hope to see you there!

The Basilica is located at 1600 Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis.
