Vail Place Names Monique Rochard-Marine, Ted Schatz to Board of Directors

Vail Place, a non-profit organization providing comprehensive services, supports and resources for adults with mental illnesses, announced it has appointed two new individuals to its Board of Directors,  Monique Rochard-Marine and Ted Schatz. Rochard-Marine is currently Director of Strategic Meetings Management and Event Operations at Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. Schatz is an Associate Broker with Schatz Real Estate Group.

“From her long track record of creating successful events and meetings, to her expertise in building strategic alliances and collaborative partnerships, Monique Rochard-Marine brings a unique skillset to our Board,” said Vicky Couillard, Executive Director for Vail Place. “Ted Schatz has been involved with Vail Place for a long time as an event sponsor and partner, and his knowledge of the Twin Cities housing market will be of huge help across all our initiatives.  Both Ted and Monique have demonstrated a passion for supporting the needs of people across a diverse social and economic spectrum. Their energy, drive and experiences will make an enormous contribution to our success in 2021 and beyond.”

Along with her extensive experience within the meetings and events industry, Rochard-Marine has served as a board member for other Minnesota non-profits where she has made significant contributions in the areas of strategic planning and marketing, among others.

“As an organization, Vail Place needs to be ‘top of mind’ for those who can provide help for people, and those who need it, ” said Rochard-Marine.  “I’m excited to utilize my experience in events and marketing to support the mission of this extraordinary organization and ultimately help more people with mental illnesses live healthy, fulfilling lives.”

Ted Schatz

Ted Schatz has been a residential realtor in the Twin Cities metro area for nearly 20 years. His experiences in the housing industry include specific insights and connections regarding housing assistance ideas and projects, an important aspect of Vail Place programs.

“I have been tremendously impressed by the collaborative and welcoming energy of the Clubhouses along with the holistic approach that Vail Place takes to helping its members,” said Schatz. “That combined with their track record of success in helping people with serious mental illnesses were the main reasons why I’ve chosen to dedicate my time and energy to their mission.”
