Vail Place Receives Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Grant

Schulze Family Foundation GrantWe are honored to have been recently awarded a $15,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation. The Schulze Family Foundation supports organizations that work in human and social services, education, health and entrepreneurship. We will use the grant to help meet an increasing need for services in our Clubhouse Community Support Program.

“The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation has made a huge impact on the lives of Vail Place members through their generous donations. This grant will not only help provide more access and treatment for people living with severe mental illnesses, it will help the community as members re-engage in their lives both personally and at work,” said Vicky Couillard, Executive Director of Vail Place.

“The Clubhouse is a place where you can explore your mental health recovery in all aspects,” said Abdul S., a Clubhouse member, “Through meaningful work and through meaningful relationships, it really helps you develop a sense of self-worth and purpose.”

The Schulze Family Foundation was created in 2004 by Best Buy founder and chairman emeritus Dick Schulze. The Foundation is driven to improve the lives of others, particularly U.S. middle- and working-class families, through results-oriented investments in human and social services, education, and health with a special focus on the seven-county metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul and Lee and Collier counties in Florida.  For more information visit SchulzeFamilyFoundation.org

We once again extend our deepest gratitude to the Schulze Family Foundation for helping us with the important work we do to make a difference in the lives of adults with mental illness, and in the community.
